What is the difference between a regular laser and a UV laser?

Unlike a standard laser which emits light from the infrared spectrum, a UV laser only emits ultraviolet light. UV lasers are often preferred because of their high-output and narrower beam.

What is a fiber laser?

A fiber laser uses optical cable to focus the energy of a beam of light, unlike a traditional laser which relies on mirrors. The optical quality and output is generally considered to be much greater with a fiber laser.

When was the first laser introduced?

The first laser, as we know them today, was created in 1960 at Hughes Research Laboratories. It was first envisioned as a means of data storage, which led to the computers and CD devices we use every day.
